As part of the new release, ADS has been significantly improved in all areas. The new pathwave core has many new features such as a new pathwave command line interface, a new pathwave command line debugger, a new command line command interpreter, and a new pathwave command line execution engine. You can run pathwave as a standalone executable, or connect it to other products such as ADS Layout Designer, Envelope or EM. ADS Layout Designer has been updated to be able to operate with the new pathwave core. The update has added many new features including the ability to export layout (with some limitations) to DXi, Design projects, etc. There are also many new features for the EM environment including a new pathwave command line debugger, a new pathwave command line command interpreter, and a new pathwave command line execution engine. In addition, ADS has been updated with various new features in the underlying ADS-II MC environment. The EEsof licensing tools have been updated to work with the new pathwave core.

The distributed simulation environment provides a number of new features. ADS has support for the common modules of the following simulators: Chil, Dbg, Lxst, Lxsim, Agilent, LTspice, SPICE, Meep, Mosfet, Spice, and Wemos. You can now simulate distributed systems with ADS.

The new ADS-II MC environment provides a number of new features. This includes a new graph core that provides path simulation and analysis. For the path simulation you can now specify various test conditions with the new -tds command line options. You can verify the results of the simulation with the new -tdsviewer command line option. You can export the simulation results to a file. For analysis of the simulation results, you can now view the results of the analysis with the new -tdsoverviewer command line option.

ADS power library. Give the power system designer a new perspective on how to design a system with components, including filters, cells, transformers, capacitors, inductors, and diodes. Provide a consistent method to design the power system and verify it.
