I have had a lot of trouble with moosers, heat sinks and pads as most an bearing do. I have 2 replacements an they have not failed me yet. I also had the number one trouble with my vortec brakes. When I changed my brake pads I broke the brake shims and did not realize anything was wrong. I have not had any trouble with the new pads. I am running a pair of wilcom brakes and they have not let me down. I have never had any problems with them. I use a lot of high heat parts and the 300 #s an 50# pads and a lock nut is all you need for the time you are working on them. A lot of people use to say. If it aint broke an dont fix it. That was fine until frames developed problems.
I had a problem with the trio single disc brakes. I had to replace the whole brake drum. I did not have enough room to throw in another disc. I had to find something that would hold the drum in place also. For that I used the securely lock adjusting nut. That is the only thing I needed for the brake to work right. I hung the brake up to the bike and determined that the nut needed to be loosened., Once loosened I simply crank and the drum turned out. It was easy. That took care of it.
I have always breaking seat posts. I can not count the number of times that I broke a seat post because someone did not keep it tight enough. The reason that I break one is because of how they are made. Most people have a somewhat loose seat post end. They put torque and get a lot of back lash. Torque is just what one uses to hold a loose seat in place. With the torque you use you get back lash. A not to small amount of back lash at times will cause the seat to come out. If the seat is not tight it will because the tension does not hold with a little back lash. You can put some loctite on it but it will give over time.
According to the documentation, the version number is 38.16.20, but it might be a typo and the actual version number is 38.16.26. The earlier version was earlier and there were few problems. If there are any problems. Please feel free to submit a feedback via software dashboard under my Tools-->Add Feedback-->Submit Feedback. Thanks. d2c66b5586
