In April 2009, Nikon added two new lenses: the 14-24mm f/2.8 and 17-35mm f/2.8. These lenses were provided for donating to the Nikon RS program. The two supplied lenses are no longer used in the program, and they are not available to the general public. As of November 2009, the RS offering has been expanded to include the telephoto zoom (zoom-telephoto) 35-120mm f/3.5-5.6 V, which includes an ED lens element and is priced at $1,300.
Nikon also stopped providing the 3.2-inch display monitor with the D300, D300S, D40, D60, D70, D80, D300, D700, D300S, D70S, D300T, D3100, D5100, D3200 and D5200. The rangefinder-style Nikon F6 is still offered, however. The optional monitor is not included in the D5000. Nikon used to replace the display monitor with a strap jack for detachable eyecup, but cut back on the policy in the latter half of 2009.
The "3D Lighting" feature, which was supposed to enable the exposure of 3Dstill photographs, was introduced in the D90/D80/D70/D50/D40/30S/D60/D40/30: Special Edition. It was also included in the D2H/D2X/N90/N80/N70/N90/N10/N80/N40/N30/N50/N20/N10 as a built-in feature. The feature hasbeen discontinued for news models. d2c66b5586
